  1. Fission yeast F-box proteins are induced by specific stresses. From the dataset generated by Chen et al. [39] and available from the Sanger centre web site [46], we selected all the predicted fission yeast F-box protein coding genes and the SCF core component coding genes skp1 and pcu1. They are classified in the following way: + : induction > 1,5 fold, ++ : induction > 2 fold, +++ : induction > 2,5 fold in response to indicated stress. H2O2 : hydrogen peroxide, MMS: methyl-methanesulfonate, ND: not determined.
