Summary of proposed cyclin patterns during the cell cycle. Both cyclin E and actin are proposed to increase exponentially during the cell cycle, and the ratio is a constant indicated by the horizontal line (cyclin E/actin). Cyclins A and B1 increase during most of the cell cycle (formula is 2(2x-1) where x is the cell age), with a decrease in cyclin content at the end of the cell cycle. The ratio of cyclins A and B1 to actin (cyclins A, B1/actin) is shown, and is similar to the pattern for absolute cyclin A, B1 content.
