Alcohol causes mitochondrial dysfunction in hepatocytes in AH. Alcoholic hepatitis (AH) mouse model was induced by administering alcohol via gavage directly into the animal's stomach in normal mice. At the endpoint of each experiment, the blood and liver tissues were collected. A The gene expression of ND1 and ND2 in liver tissues of control or AH mice were measured by qPCR. B The level of ATP in liver tissues of control or AH mice were measured by ATP kits. C The expression levels of Mfn1, Mfn2, Opa1, Drp1, and Fis1 in liver tissues of control or AH mice were measured by western blot. Data are presented as mean ± SD (n = 6 mice per group).
