Similarly to the over-expression of Hos2p, over-expression of human HDAC3 results in growth inhibition and in phenotypic defects related to morphogenesis and/or cytokinesis. (A) Strains expressing hos2 or HDAC3 from the nmt1 promoter were streaked to EMM media in the presence (repressed) or absence (de-repressed) of thiamine and incubated at 30°C for two days.
